Nov. 30/07: NEXUS is doing a technology upgrade and will be sending EVERY NEXUS holder a new card in the mail. In order to receive your new card, you must make sure that NEXUS has the correct address on file. You can do this by following the attached directions.
Also, we are reminding NEXUS holders to begin the renewal process 90 days before their five year passes expire by submitting a new application. This can be done by following the attached directions. The old cards did not have expiry dates but we have been told by CBP that the process is now to alert NEXUS users at the booth as to the expiry date when a card is due to expire within 90 days.

“We are pleased to provide our industry stakeholders with the latest update on the NEXUS Marine program – one of the three components in the harmonized NEXUS trust traveller program.
This latest announcement demonstrates the ongoing efforts of CBSA and CBP to improve this existing program to serve the evolving needs of cross-border travellers.
The Binational Tourism Alliance continues to support the NEXUS program as one of the key solutions to the WHTI legislation.
We are still waiting on issuance of the WHTI Land and Marine rules from Department of Homeland Security, as well as working out the details of our proposed NEXUS Incentive Promotion and Pilot Program with our colleagues in CBSA and CBP, and will continue to update our tourism industry and community stakeholders with information as this becomes available.

Border Focus Group Recommends Low-Risk Traveler Program Expansion
The Can/Am Border Trade Alliance NEXUS Focus Group is celebrating the cooperative binational efforts to further low-risk traveler systems. Started in early 2006, the forum involves political leaders, inspection agencies, and industry, with staff from Northern Border Causus House Co-Chairs, and Congresswoman Slaughter. see more
